bolt

bolt is a mobility platform that operates in 400 cities in europe and africa with 10m customers. i am leading product in bolt market, grocery delivery service in 10 countries in europe. joined as the first product manager once the very first store opened.

built and rolled out our own picker application and systems for warehouse, store, supply chain and assortment management. reduced picking cost by 40% globally and shrank the share of orders with missing items from 10% to 2%.

local kitchen

local kitchen is a food tech startup from moscow, bought by sberbank, a major bank in russia. that is a chain of 50+ dark kitchens with its own production and delivery within 30 minutes. the key thing is about five thousand dishes available. it allows to rotate the menu every week, so customers won't get bored

i was the first product manager in a company, and was in charge of the core system that controls all processes in a company. we created it from scratch and implemented it in every division: from the supply of salmon from the faroe islands to the repair history of the courier's electric bike. previously, the production was full of papers, calls and an opaque "flair", now an automatic system for planning and controlling operational processes allows the company to scale

here's my impact

  • recipes. when we know how much cabbage is needed for a soup, and how much soups we want to sell, we can plan the volume of raw materials to be purchased and control the chefs

  • procurement plan. realizing the volume of purchases, we can schedule a supply frequency depending on the warehouse capacity, shipping price and shelf life

  • raw materials acceptance. a purchasing manager indicates when, from whom and with what products the car will arrive. delivery is checked in terms of quality and quantity. food cost calculates automatically, based on purchasing prices

  • acceptance criteria. each product has filled-in standards, which are sent to suppliers and are used for verification at each stage of acceptance

  • outcoming materials. the system calculates how much raw material needs to be dispensed from the warehouse for production, according to the multiplicity. it also issues batches according to fifo and warns of suitable expiration dates

  • production and packaging. cooks receive a task for the day, inform about cooking statuses, transfer it to another workshops, signal about stop lists and note how much they have packed

  • batching. after preparations been made, pickers collect the boxes with semi-finished products and raw materials required for on-demand cooking, according to expedition plan

  • expedition. the expedition plan is automatically generated, it manages car flows, considers stock balances and types of cars, f.e. knows when car with a refrigerator or packaging car should leave

  • logistics. controller checks delivery according to the plan, generates waybills and indicated the truck with products assigned to specific address

  • barcoding. pallets are marked up with qr-codes defining location, so we can detect raw materials location in the warehouse

  • inventories. to correct the balances, kitchens and distribution hubs have to carry out regular inventories. if we have wrong balances, automated procurement plan give us the lack of products or generate write-offs because of overstock and ruins sales

  • waste control. every product that someone wants to throw away needs to be photographed, and large write-offs are carried out after audit confirmation

  • kpi reports. due to the fact that every action of the production chain was digitized, kpis appeared for each division. then we managed to grow them up to 90% relative to the plan

  • orders dispatching. orders with food are dispatched on couriers on the map, the administrator takes into account the range of addresses and the number of packages that can be put in the bag

  • bikes and repair. each bike was assigned to a courier, they created requests for repairs. we knew location, condition and quantity of bikes, so that affects delivery time

  • dark stores. to utilize the kitchen area and increase revenue, we launched 24 dark stores with 100 SKUs and set up automatic delivery plans from distribution hubs to kitchens

  • the new ml tool for support agents that collected all information in one tab and provided ml-based template recommendation for the answer
